The FAQ acknowledges the LED is very bright but assures it's safe. However for me personally the intensity even with eyes tightly closed was so uncomfortable that I avoided using it around my eye area entirely. That limits the device significantly since crow's feet and under-eye care were a major reason I bought it. The skin results on my cheeks and forehead are decent but the eye area issue was a real disappointment.
